General TipsWifi connectivity is great! Every place, even the smaller hole-in-the-wall restaurants will have it. That said, you should try to get a SIM card if possible. There are SIM card stalls at the airport where you can buy a SIM card for cheap. Download the Grab app (Uber of Southeast Asia) before you land. It is very safe, efficient, cheap, and what all the locals use. If you're traveling solo and you're feeling adventurous, you can opt for a motorbike Grab as well :) Dress for heat. You are going to a tropical country in the middle of summer so it will be hot. While Nha Trang will have a nice breeze (and general beach / coastal weather), we suggest light clothing, and we encourage adjusting your formal wear accordingly.

Saigon / Ho Chi Minh Tips / HotelsIf you're planning on staying in Saigon before or after you go to Mia Resorts, we recommend staying in District 1. You will have easy access to all the tourist spots, it's very walkable, and the city has a very fun vibe. While we were in Ho Chi Minh, we stayed at: Silverland Sakyo Hotel & Spa - excellent customer service, more boutique and intimate Le Meridien - more amenities, bigger breakfast, club and lounge inside hotel

Getting to Mia Resort in Nha TrangFlights through VietJet are cheaper but are also less reliable. For those who still want to fly VietJet, we recommend taking the first flight in the morning. Otherwise, we recommend flying Vietnam Airlines within the country. A Grab from Cam Ranh airport to Mia Resorts should be about $6 USD The resort is beautiful; great views, easy access to the beach, very comfortable accommodations For larger groups, we recommend booking the residences. Please email rdm@mianhatrang.com to make your booking if you haven't done so. Buggies are easy to call for and will get you around the resort Sandal's area is where breakfast will be every morning from 7 AM - 10 AM For our wedding, we will have events in all parts of the resort! Traveling to Nha Trang city center is easy. There is a shuttle going from Mia to Nha Trang 3x a day (10 AM, 3 PM, and 10PM). However, cabs are also cheap and should take around 25 minutes.

I already RSVP-ed yes to your "Save The Date". Do I have to RSVP again via this website?Yes! What do we wear? For event specific dress code, please visit the Schedule page to see. Generally speaking, we want our guests to be as comfortable as possible. Note that the weather in Cam Ranh / Nha Trang during this time will be between 24°C (76°F) and 30°C (87°F) so we encourage lighter fabrics and colors. If you're looking for more guidance on attire, visit this page by the Knot for Indian suggestions and visit this page by East Meets Dress for Vietnamese suggestions; they both do a much better job explaining than we do! Ultimately, we want everyone to be comfortable and to have fun so wear whatever makes you feel your most fabulous 😊

Do you need a visa for Vietnam?Yes, Visas are required for travelers from India and the US. Click here for to start the visa application process.
-
Will I need cash for Vietnam?Credit cards, debit cards and cash are all accepted, but cash is by far the most accepted form of payment. Outside of major tourist areas, cash should be your primary go-to during your trip. We recommend that you exchange into the local currency (Vietnamese dong) BEFORE you get to Vietnam.
-
What are the mobile connectivity options in Vietnam?Internet is incredibly cheap in Vietnam and if you want to save on those roaming fees, make sure topick up a local Vietnamese SIM card. You’ll find it’s quite handy to have for using Google Maps and Grab to get around town.
-
How will I get around in Vietnam? We will be providing shuttle service from Cam Ranh airport to Mia Resort. If you are looking for transportation in Vietnam, you can use Grab, which is the Uber of SE Asia! You can just type your address into the app rather than having to explain it to the driver and you don’t need to negotiate the price before getting in. Make sure to download this app and load your credit card information for easy access around town.

What kind of food will you have at the wedding? If you're staying at Mia Resort, the breakfast is complimentary and has a mix of Vietnamese and Western food. Simple and easy Vietnamese & Indian lunches will be available for guests to grab and go. For dinners, we will provide a mix of Vietnamese and Indian food in a buffet style. We will serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
-
I have dietary restrictions. Who do I tell?Because we will be serving buffet style dinners for all three nights, we can't promise that we will be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions. However, please note it in the RSVP or email us at n.kant.gupta@gmail.com so that we can appropriately note this on food menu items.
